The shape of the KLEAN bowl is the result of an interaction between ergonomics, material properties and the manufacturing process.”
The seat shell fibers are crafted from the innovative material PrimaLoft®Bio™. The PET fibers (100% recycelt) are enhanced to biodegrade through microbial action, becoming undetectable as microplastics in the environment. The enhanced fibers can be utilized further in the standard recycling process to create new products.
The five different frames are made of wood or recyclable aluminum, steel and PA, and complement the felt shell to create a timeless aesthetic for sustainable dialogue culture.
*93.8% of biodegradation occurred in 646 days under ASTM D5511 conditions (landfill environment); 88.5% of biodegradation took place in 2223 days under ASTM D6691 conditions (marine environment). The degradation rate and extent of degradation mentioned do not imply that the product will continue to degrade.
